This lil’ charmer is anchored by Mourvèdre, a classic Rhone varietal that tends to produce tannic wines that are high in alcohol and complimented by earthy undertones and soft red fruit. Donkey & Goat adds a little Grenache and light-bodied Syrah to round it out. With aromas of bright red fruit and notes of mulberry, strawberries, sage and black currants, this is one plucky, light-bodied red (not too sweet or dry) that can be served room temp or chilled down in the warmer months.
Donkey & Goat is a natural winemaker, which means they source fruit from sustainable and biodynamic vineyards, ferment with wild yeasts and bottle without filtering or fining. Ingredients: grapes and minimal sulphur. ‘Nuff said.
