Town Branch Bourbon

MADE BY LEXINGTON BREWING AND DISTILLING COMPANY IN LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY

MOUTH SAYS...

Kentucky is the beating heart of bourbon distilling. So why is there only one independent distillery on the official Kentucky Bourbon Trail??? We're at a loss, really, but we certainly appreciate this lone indie hold-out.

Town Branch Bourbon has all the old-school charm of the big-name brands, along with a beautiful warm caramel flavor with a kiss of vanilla. And it's named after the underground limestone creek that flows beneath Lexington and supplies the delicious, mineral-rich water used to bring the barrel-strength bourbon down to proof – at 40% alcohol Town Branch has all the warmth and none of the fire.

tip of the tongue

We love to muddle fresh berries into cooling bourbon drinks like the Blackberry Smash: Muddle 3 fresh blackberries and 3 mint leaves in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add 2 oz Town Branch bourbon, 1/2 oz simple syrup and lots of ice. Shake until very cold and strain into a wide-mouthed cocktail glass, either up or over ice. Garnish with a blackberry.
