Top of the Latke
Top o’ the latke to you!
If you’re anything like our founder and CEO Craig, you’ve got a super-secret homemade recipe for potato latkes that you bust out year after year. The kids beg for them. Neighbors start knocking because they’ve sniffed out the telltale smell of oil and onions. Even your cranky cousin can’t help but crack a smile when he sees them hit the holiday table.
Well, it's time to take your already-perfect latkes up a notch with our spread of indie toppers. Start with a sweet-and-salty Fig and Olive Tapenade. Try a dollop of tender Apple Stout Jam with sour cream. Slather on some Whole Grain Mustard. And drizzle a finishing glug of indie olive oil. Don’t forget the classic, with an indie upgrade: apple caramel preserves!
A toppings bar makes a super entertaining gift for any Hanukkah host.
TIP OF THE TONGUE
Craig makes his latkes thin, not thick – about ¼”-½" – for a wonderfully crispy bite and no sogginess in the middle. (Trust us, we've had 'em!)
