Savory Masala-Spiced Popcorn

MADE BY MASALA POP IN PORTLAND, OREGON

MOUTH SAYS...

Neha Patel's mom started making popcorn-based snacks like the ones she'd been able to buy from "walahs" (snack vendors) all over India. Wherever Neha went, bags of spiced popcorn followed, to the delight of her friends and co-workers. She wisely – thankfully – came to the conclusion that she needed to bring this outrageously delicious snack to the rest of us.

Savory Masala-Spiced Popcorn is the original popcorn chaat – organic popcorn mixed with crunchy lentil chips (or "papadum"), all seasoned with garlic, red chili, mustard seed and turmeric. Golden, crispy joy.

tip of the tongue

Salty and just a little spicy, it's the perfect cocktail hour nibble, especially when paired with your favorite hop-forward IPA. Genius tip: For even more crunch, empty the bag onto a baking sheet and bake at 250 degrees Fahrenheit for 7-10 minutes.
