This sangiovese red wine has a huge personality. It's intense, earthy and somewhat funky – totally different from the Chiantis most people associate with this grape. We love the way its sweetness is balanced by rougher flavors of leather and a bit of barnyard mustiness (and we mean that as a compliment!). We're pretty sure it's like no other sangiovese you've tasted. 

Coturri starting making natural wine long before it became a trend. This means certified organic grapes, open tanks to allow naturally-occurring yeasts to do all the fermentation, and old-fashioned pressing processes. Like many natural wines, Coturri's have a lot of scents and flavors that can take some getting used to. But once you do, the bold flavors will win you over.

This is the classic Italian food grape, and despite a substantial difference in style, Coturri's take is equally delicious with tomato-based pasta sauces and braised meats.
