An excellent maple syrup with even better ethics. This syrup is tapped from a family-owned forest of around 8,000 maples out in the Catskills, NY. But what makes them truly special is that they established the first Maple Syrup CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), meaning syrup-lovers and syrup-holics (totally different groups, btw) can pre-pay for bottles of maple syrup, giving farmers the ability to purchase much-needed supplies before the season begins. A community supporting one other? We’re getting sappy just thinking about it.
