Ah, the Midwest and its “amber waves of grain.” Well, we think there’s no better celebration of said waves than this amber whiskey! OYO is made from 100% Ohio soft red winter wheat and bottled from single casks of white American oak, so it's a truly concentrated taste of Ohio terroir.
Pronounced “O-Why-O,” this whiskey has us asking “Oh why oh…did we neglect wheat whiskey for so long?” Wheat whiskeys are more delicate and softer than bourbon, and OYO has the soft warmth and the mellow flavor of wheat bread with a hint of honey sweetness underneath. It's livened up by hints of dried fruit and spiced nuts.

We like to make a whiskey version of a Bee's Knees: Combine 1 1/2 oz whiskey, 1 teaspoon honey syrup and 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice in a shaker with plenty of ice. Shake until cold and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist. Or, make a hot toddy with a squeeze of lemon, hot water and honey.
