Albany Distilling Ironweed Rye Whiskey Flask

Albany Distilling Ironweed Rye Whiskey Flask

MADE BY ALBANY DISTILLING COMPANY IN ALBANY, NEW YORK

Mouth says...

Big things truly come in small packages! This super smooth rye whiskey is mildly spicy and woodsy, yet has a softness with hints of toasted, salted caramel and refreshing anise.

The distillery (founded in 2011 in a former 19th-Century coal yard!) is the first legal distillery since Prohibition. It features a 600-liter still, and a lean team of six that operates and bottles nearly all week. Now that's dedication!

Fun fact: Co-founder John Curtain let us know that the name of this rye, "Ironweed," comes from the 1983 novel title (which takes place in Albany!), that was later adapted into a film featuring Jack Nicholson and Meryl Streep. That deserves an award!

TIP OF THE TONGUE
This rye is our go-to choice for any brown liquor-based cocktails, from Manhattans to Old Fashioneds. It's perfect for creating a top-shelf minibar...or as a gift for the artisanal rye whiskey connoisseur in your life.
