It doesn’t take much more than the word “bacon” to sell us on a snack, but the team at Little Red Dot Kitchen really went above and beyond. The flavor in every candied bacon bite is smoky, sweet, salty and a little bit spicy. There’s a lot happening here, and that’s a good thing. Anyone craving a savory and protein-rich snack just found it. Better still, the makers are focused on sourcing the ingredients from sustainable, responsible farms, and can trace all of their bacon back to its origins. It’s a farm-to-couch snack with a sense of responsibility. We’re into it. Oink.
Tip Of The Tongue
These snacks are inspired by a Singaporean and Malasyian snack called “bak kwa,” which is a beloved street food classic made of roasted meat. It’s typically grilled or roasted over charcoal, and packed with umami flavors. Little Red Dot Kitchen essentially took what they loved about the street food staple, and made a portable version. We love it when makers overachieve by making bacon even more better.
