Grapefruit Hibiscus Cocktail Mixer

MADE BY MORRIS KITCHEN IN BROOKLYN, NEW YORK

MOUTH SAYS...

Mix up a few glasses of this before a dinner party, and your guests just might think you have a pro bartender hiding in the kitchen. Fragrant, tart and complex, this cocktail mixer gets an extra hit of intrigue from the slight bitterness of grapefruit and tannic hibiscus tea.

Adding gin amps up the floral, botanical notes, while bourbon adds richness and sweetness. Either way, you can't go wrong.

To serve, combine 2 oz of the mixer with 2 oz of your spirit of choice and shake or stir with lots of ice. Strain into a tall glass filled with fresh ice and add 4 oz seltzer. Garnish with a grapefruit or lime wedge, or a sprig of mint.
