Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip BlondieMADE BY FREEDGOODSCO IN BRONX, NEW YORK
Buttery, rich brown sugar dough flecked with semi-sweet chocolate chips and, what, no gluten? Impossible!
And yet, possible. Baker Stephanie Norton is using the power of gluten-free flour to satisfy her gluten, wheat and yeast intolerant sweet tooth. She swaps in garbanzo, sorghum and fava bean flour for regular wheat flour, and adds the tender chew of shredded coconut. Yes, that sounds like a mouthful, but we seriously don’t notice the difference. This is one blondie our whole tasting team flipped for.
FreedGoods is also doing some pretty good things with their baked goods by donating 5% of all profits to infertility support and education. Yeah, baby!
tip of the tongue
We’ve heard that blondes have more fun. So dunk this baby in ice-cold milk, for breakfast. Live, people, live!
