Celebrate Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) this year with deliciously dark chocolate bars with male and female skeletons both dressed to the nines and dusted in magenta and blue. These treats are a sweet (ba-dum-dum) way to honor the deceased and the living.
Made with all the soul (alma in Spanish) of founder, Sarah Hart, these dapper, departed skeletons outshine less inspired, less commemorative Halloween sweets.
Dark chocolate, we love you ‘til death do us part!
TIP OF THE TONGUE
Go all out for your Day of the Dead party and stir up an Oaxaca Old-Fashioned (1.5 ounces reposado tequila, ½-ounce mezcal, 1 teaspoon agave nectar, 1 to 2 dashes mole bitters and a swath of orange peel). Simmer chicken or tamales in mole poblano sauce, flavor up some yellow rice with cilantro and lime, and party till you drop.
74% chocolate (sugar, pure cocoa mass, cocoa butter). May contain traces of soy and nuts. Comes as a 2.6 oz bar.
