This rich and peppery whiskey is super easy to drink, with just the right touch of malt sweetness. And while some ryes can be really firey and aggressive, Defiant Rye is exceptionally smooth.
It’s made from 65% rye and 35% malted barley (hence the malt sweetness), all sourced from farmers near New York's Catskills.
Rye whiskey was once used by Pennsylvania farmers as a substitute for money, which ultimately led to the Whiskey Rebellion when the federal government attempted to tax it. Even though they didn't win, we still admire their fighting spirit with every sip of this defiant rye.
