We can’t think of three better words for this sauce. It is truly earthy, spicy and tingly! Made with cumin, Sichuan peppercorns, fermented soybeans, chili flakes and garlic, it has a deep, rich, Mouth-watering flavor we can’t get enough of.
The possibilities are endless: use as a marinade for meats or veggies, as a dip for chicken wings, as a dressing for salads or as a cooking sauce for stir fries.
Heads-up: You may notice a slight tingling on your tongue. But don’t fear! It’s not overpoweringly hot – the tingling is just the Sichuan peppercorn oils working their magic. Pretty cool, eh?

Of course, we are totally into the double meaning of “One Culture Foods,” which plays on Hansen’s cultural heritage, as well as the literal cultures that exist through fermentation in the actual product!
TIP OF THE TONGUE
It’s great with meat, but also veggies! Try loosening up a spoonful of the sauce with a dash of neutral oil (like canola) and some fresh lime juice to make a quick dressing for a shredded cabbage and crushed peanut salad.
