Bourbon Spiked Chocolate Sauce
There was a time when it seemed you could get drunk on chocolate sauce alone. See: family photos of baby you, your smiley face happily smeared with it. So it's only logical that someone decided to combine the nostalgia of chocolate sauce with another adult favorite: bourbon sourced from another of our awesome indie makers, Breckenridge Distillery. It's good to be a grown up.
Dallas-based Dude, Sweet Chocolate calls this concoction "Break-Up Potion," and it's aptly named. Utilizing the power of spirits, this boozy blend will spellbind you like any good potion, though it's unclear whether it's meant to heal a broken heart or tempt the drinker away from their sweetie in favor of its smoky, sweet, woodsy flavor. Dark and rich, there's definitely something bewitching about this sauce.
Tip of the Tongue
Clearly, this is the perfect topping for getting sauced from your sundae, but we especially love this in an old-fashioned ice cream soda. Just mix a few tablespoons with cold seltzer and add a large scoop of your ice cream of choice (try caramel!).
