For a while, Maine’s state motto was: "The Way Life Should Be." Well, the same can be said about these crackers—perfect on their own or with cheese, honey or jam, naturally gluten-free and full of the best ingredients from Down East and beyond. Aroostook County buckwheat, wild Maine blueberries, California walnuts and a touch of rosemary are twice-baked in a biscotti-like process. These snacks are the brainchild of Karen Getz, an award-winning baker, cheesemaker and farmer whose life’s work is inspired by Wendell Berry’s Unsettling of America. Fortunately, the only thing unsettling about Getz’s crisps is how good they taste. 

Tip of the Tongue:
These gluten-free crisps add the perfect crunch to your cheese board. Serve with an assortment of soft creamy and goat cheeses, a jam or two, some salami and a bowl of olives.
