The cocoa beans in this handcrafted chocolate were sourced from local farmers in Tanzania’s Kilombero Valley, and processed there as well, in the effort to maintain consistent quality. You know how posh wine connoisseurs are always talking about terroir (specific environmental factors and farming practices) influencing taste? The same applies to chocolate. These particular beans exhibit traces of light fruit, toasted rice, maple, coffee and cream. Not that you need to pick up on subtle nuances to appreciate that the primary flavor profile here is chocolate. And lots of it.
