Open sesame this package of brown sugared, chocolate-covered buttery shards and prepare for surprise and delight. Unlike many toffees, these thin, crunchy and delicate pieces offer a most elegant eating experience. The black sesame seeds are mixed into the toffee itself, cutting just enough of the sweet, while the dark chocolate adds some creamy to the crack. Plus there’s a sprinkling of sea salt. Because black sesame seeds still have their hull, and white ones do not, they taste a bit more bitter and have more crunch.
