Meet Your Next Signature Cocktail: The Water Cooler!

Sun’s out, fun’s out! Yes, summer is finally here, and it’s got us itching to ditch our desks early for a little afternoon happy hour. The constant heat makes us reach for super-juicy, refreshing watermelon. And we’re drawing the rest of our craft cocktail inspiration from a brand new addition to our bar cart: Leopold Bros. Aperitivo!

Aperitivo, or aperitif, is a classic Italian spirit that’s traditionally enjoyed before a meal, to whet appetites and open palates with bright, bitter, Mouth-watering flavors. This one is made with fragrant, flowering botanicals and sweet cane sugar in Denver, Colorado. The almost blinding, vibrant red color? Believe it or not, it's actually from a naturally occurring food coloring you’ve also been eating in your strawberry yogurt: cochineal, or insect dye. But don’t bug out! It just means this small-batch spirit was made without chemicals or artificial anything.

Time to start using your melon!
