This Bourbon Pecan Peanut Butter Is Pie In A Jar

If magic exists, it must be in the form of bourbon and pecans, because this Bourbon Pecan Peanut Butter from Reginald’s Homemade is making all our holiday wishes come true. There's just a hint of crunch from bits of dry roasted pecan, mellowed out by a splash of bourbon (don't worry, it's not overly boozy  there's just enough to add a little depth) and a warm touch of vanilla. It's practically pecan pie in a jar.

Background: One day, Andrew Broocker came to the realization that he was getting a bit, well, soft around the edges. So right away, he started exercising and watching what he ate. He discovered that, in moderation, peanut butter was the ideal protein-rich snack. But he was tired of peanut butter that tasted more like sugar and salt than peanuts.

So he started making his own, subtracting everything extra (like sugar or salt), until he got to the purest, peanut-y taste. Once he'd found the flavor he loved, he got creative and started adding all kinds of tasty additions. Hellooooo bourbon!

Packed with classic Southern ingredients, this boozy nut butter is so tasty right off a spoon that it might not always make its way into a sandwich. But, if you're feeling ambitious, slather some magic on cinnamon roll dough instead of the typical brown sugar-butter mix for a nutty baked .

Ta da!
