Our COO Sam’s daughter just left for college, and it’s been a big adjustment for him and his wife. You think you’re ready for them to leave the nest – you spend hours daydreaming about how nice it will be to return to cooking those romantic dinners for two – what it will be like to not have to do a million loads of laundry a day… Ah, almost like when you were on your honeymoon. Cut to 24 hours later, after their first day away from home, and you wish you could press rewind.
You never thought you’d find yourself saying it, but wasn’t spoiling them actually kind of great? The last 18 years have been spent trying to make your kid happy (and make sure they’re well-fed), and now that they’re out of the house, you wonder what you’re supposed to do with all your free time.

Do as Sam and his wife do and send your favorite student our Freshman 15 taster kit, a collection of 15 reasonably healthy and outrageously delicious snacks to fuel their studies (and late nights – what you don’t know won’t hurt you). Think: chocolate popped tarts, blueberry vanilla energy bars, turkey jerky and crunchy split peas (yay vegetable protein!).
Trust us, there’s nothing better than knowing you’re the reason they’re the most popular kid on campus. (You did teach them to share, right?)
