Yum Tov: Toast The New Year With This Apples And Honey Cocktail

This Sunday night, October 2nd, the Jewish calendar will hit 5777. Now, you can be sure that on December 31st, we’ll be toasting to 2017 with a glass of something good. Well, our Erev Rosh Hashanah gathering deserves something equally as festive to mark the passing of time, so we’ve come up with a fitting cocktail to go along with all the apples we'll dip in honey to signify a sweet new year.

Start with a delicious liqueur made from, yes, apples. Harvest Spirits' Cornelius Applejack uses 60 pounds of fresh apples in each bottle, in fact. Mix it with Kas Krupnikas Honey Liqueur, a sweet honey liqueur spiced with vanilla, cinnamon and cardamom. Stir with ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves and a few apple slices. Huzzah!

The Apples & Honey Cocktail Kit is the perfect way to kick off your holiday meal or an excellent gift for someone who’s nice enough (again) to host.

Here’s to a year filled with only good things – happiness, health, peace. And a good cocktail.
