These 6 Peanut Butter Sandwich Hacks Will Make You Go Nuts

Do you love peanut butter? Do you love peanut butter so much you updated your Facebook status to “In a Relationship,” because your true love is creamy, chunky (or smooth!) and totally nutty, but it’s okay because you really understand each other? Do you go to weekly meetings for Peanut Butterholics Anonymous?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, hello! And welcome to PB Sandwich Hacks.

Here are six of the funkiest peanut butter sandwiches we’ve come up with:

Peanut Butter & Sweet Chip Pickles
One of the most cultish peanut butter pairings there is. For this toast, we’re using CB’S Nuts organic Creamunchy Peanut Butter (slightly grainy, spreadable and delicious) paired with Gordy’s sweet, warmly spiced pickle chips – it’s the best PB&P combo we found, and we tried ‘em all.

Toasted White Chocolate Bar + Bananas
This peanut butter toast couldn’t be easier, or prettier, to assemble: proceed with your PB&B as usual, then top with squares of chocolate. If you like dulce de leche and brown butter you’ll love Fruition Chocolate's indie Toasted White Chocolate Barespecially when it’s snuggled on top of toast smeared with your favorite peanut butter and slices of perfectly ripe banana.

Bacon Jerky And Green Apple Slices
This sandwich is our take on Elvis’ famous favorite – the peanut butter, banana and bacon sandwich. Because we’re us, we had to try it with Applewood Uncured Bacon Jerky. We like to brighten up this indie-fied bacon jerky and peanut butter sandwich a bit by swapping in thin slices of crunchy, slightly tart green apple.

Chocolate-Dipped Pretzels + Hot Fudge Sauce
Peanut butter: Nutty, rich, creamy. Chocolate-Dipped Pretzels: Crispy, salty, addicting. Hot Fudge Sauce: Cozy, gooey, sweet. All three? God’s gift to humanity. This mashup is the perfect balance of textures and flavors – just don’t tell your dentist it was our idea.

Goat Cheese + Wildflower Honey
Yes, you heard right: Start with a slice of your favorite bread and give it a good smear of your favorite peanut butter. Now comes fresh creamy goat cheese – we’re obsessed with Vermont Creamery’s Fresh Goat Cheese. Drizzle your now harmonious mix with a thin, textured honey, such as TruBee’s Wildflower Summer Tennessee Honey - it’s totally buzz-worthy.

Chili Granola + Dried Berries
You like sweet. You like spicy. You like savory. Put all that together? You get this peanut butter sandwich aka the sandwich of your dreams. We didn't know we needed spicy granola in our lives until we tried this fiery, flavorful concoction from our friends at Bad Seed. And the deliciousness of granola with dried berries is just one of the truths of this world. We love Vincent Family Cranberries’ Dried Cranberries & Blueberries, which are infused with unsweetened apple juice before being dried to a chewy but soft and juicy texture.

What are you waiting for? Go nuts.
