4 Pumpkin Products That Are Anything But Basic

Do you LOVE pumpkin? Did you race to Starbucks the second you heard the Pumpkin Spice Latte was back? Are you starting to turn orange because you literally eat pumpkin everything? Do you make an annual schlepp to the pumpkin patch? Is your dog named “Pumpkin?” Do you push your carved Jack O’Lantern around town in a stroller like a proud parent? You’re not alone – we’re obsessed with pumpkin too.

Unfortunately, our fall-weathered friend sometimes gets a bad rep. Many “pumpkin” products use artificial flavoring. And remember the Canned Pumpkin Controversy last month when we found out there’s no pumpkin in “100% Canned Pumpkin?” It’s been a rough patch. Well, we’re here to rescue the honorable gourd from disgrace and place it back on the front stoop where it belongs.

Here are four pumpkin goodies that are better than pie. And these small-batch products are independently made using only natural ingredients, so your pumpkin-hating frenemies can’t mock you and your body won’t hate you. Behold, a healthier way to taste the season!

The Jam Stand Chai Pumpkin Butter – What’s better than a fall flavor? Two of them! Silky smooth and spiced like one of our favorite winter beverages, this festive spread is pumpkin pie in a jar. Just chai it.

Big Spoon Roasters Apricot Pumpkin Seed PB Energy Bar – This bar packs roasted pumpkin seeds (aka pepitas), peanuts, a perfect sprinkling of sea salt, raw wildflower honey, juicy dried apricot, pockets of organic cocoa and a hearty base of quinoa and oats all into one delicious breakfast alternative. And, yes, it pairs perfectly with a pumpkin latte.

Brook Wholehearted Brined & Roasted Pumpkin Seeds – These addictive seeds are soaked in a flavorful brine and the sprinkle of salt keeps us coming back for more. Nature hike, cozy sweater and changing leaves not included.

Wondermade Pumpkin Pie Marshmallows – Made with pumpkin puree, cinnamon and nutmeg, these marshmallows transform our favorite Thanksgiving yum into a few airy bites. Perfect as a decadent topping on a pumpkin latte or for when you need a pie fix on the go!
