Leopold Bros. is run by (you guessed it) the brothers Leopold!
Todd Leopold went to school for malting and brewing in Chicago, then studied lager beer-making in Munich. Scott Leopold studied economics and engineering, focusing the early part of his career on environmentally sustainable manufacturing processes for Fortune 500 companies.
In 1999, the two brothers teamed to launch a brewery – called Leopold Bros. – in Ann Arbor, Michigan. They instantly became well-known for their eco-brewing techniques, use of organic ingredients and effective waste and byproduct management. It wasn’t long before they expanded into distilling, as craft drink-makers are wont to do. They released their first spirits in 2001.
About 7 years later, they picked up and moved all their distilling operations back to their home state of Colorado, to put their money and ideas back into the local community.
This is a family-owned and operated business that everybody (and their brother) can appreciate!
