Brooklyn Sesame

Israeli-native Shahar Shamir launched Brooklyn Sesame at the 2013 Brooklyn Flea. He wanted to put a modern, Brooklyn spin on the traditional Mediterranean candy halva, so he re-imagined it – as a spread! The sesame seeds are hand-ground and sweetened with honey; mix-ins like pistachio and almond are hand-chopped. It's super tasty (and way better for you than the original).
