Quady Winery

Andrew and Laurel Quady knew they had to leave their crowded southern California city (and their jobs in pyrotechnics and merchandising) to pursue their dream of making wine. They both returned to school and Andrew graduated with a Masters in Food Science-Enology from UC Davis while Laurel became a licensed CPA. Their mix of passion and practicality proved a winning combination. 

By 1977 Andrew was working in a nearby winery and they had built their own small winery behind their country home in the San Joaquin Valley. They chose to specialize in the sweet and fortified wines they loved and blossomed into one of California’s most respected small wineries.
