Georgetown Trading

Amir Peay founded his spirits company in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, DC to honor both the history of the area and his ancestor Commodore John Cassin. After fighting in the American Revolution, Commodore Cassin co-founded the DC Navy Yard where barrels of whiskey were among the many prized items traded. After graduating from UC Santa Barbara, Amir published the magazine “Wine & Dine Santa Barbara” before moving home to DC and developing the passion for whiskey that inspired him to start his own company.
