Celebration Distillation

James Michalopoulos, a successful New Orleans artist got together with a bunch of musician friends and began experimenting with building a still and making rum with local sugar cane. Once they'd figured out the basics, they decided to get serious and bought an old cotton warehouse to house the distillery. Today, it's still run by artists nad musicians with "an engineer or two thrown in for balance." We like to think that's part of the explanation for their flavorful (and affordable!) rums.
