Giorgio and Manbin Monteverdi moved to California from Italy armed with a secret weapon: A family Nocino recipe. At first they only made it at home in tiny amounts for friends and family. Then one day they served it to a winemaker-friend. He convinced them to produce it commercially, and with help from their friends they began producing one of Italy’s great liqueurs in the Napa Valley.
