Founder Farid Dormishian had a very early inspiration for getting into the distilling business: his grandmother had an orchard and she made liqueurs and infusions by hand at home. Farid studied biochemistry at UC Berkeley where he focused on fermentation. As he progressed through his career, he has been a biochemist, wine maker, bartender and distiller.
