Lexington Brewing and Distilling Company

Dr. Pearse Lyons interned at Guinness and Harp, and was the first Irishman to get a degree in Brewing & Distilling from the prestigious British School of Malting & Brewing. In 1999, he took over a recently closed brewery in Lexington, Kentucky, and started Kentucky Ale, which featured barrel-aged beers. Distilling whiskey was a natural progression and followed 10 years later. Lexington Brewing and Distilling Company is now the only independent distillery on the legendary Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
