The approach behind Brooklyn-based BjornQorn “solar popcorn” is pretty simple – just organic corn, and sun.

Bjorn Quenemoen’s background as a corn farmer’s son paired perfectly with former college dorm-mate Jamie O’Shea’s ideas about solar-powered mirror kettles and cookers. They now pop kernels in small batches on a small farm in New York’s Hudson Valley, all year ‘round, and finish with a toss in flavorful, vitamin-packed nutritional yeast.
