One bite into a megpie, and you'll forget pop tarts. Seriously. These tasty pastries are buttery, flaky, and filled either with real fruit jam made by Anarchy in a Jar (yay!), semi-sweet chocolate or cinnamon sugar.

When Meghan Ritchie introduced these retro treats at Brooklyn food market Smorgasburg, they quickly became a hot ticket. They've got such a following they're even listed as one of the Village Voice's top 100 dishes. 

INSTRUCTIONS: We ship these treats frozen and mostly they defrost on the way. Store at room temperature and when you're ready to enjoy, just reheat them in an oven or toaster oven at 250 degrees for five minutes. The pastries stay fresh for over a week, but those west of the Mississippi should eat these within a couple of days of receiving them for the freshest tasting pastries. If you make it more than 24 hours, you deserve some kind of prize.

Triple Berry Jam

Filled with Anarchy in a Jar's triple berry jam, this is a pie jam-packed (ha!) into a palm-sized tart. 

INGREDIENTS: Unbleached enriched wheat flour (niacin, reduced iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), butter, sugar, salt, lemon juice, raspberry puree, blueberry puree, triple berry jam (raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, lemon juice, sugar, all-natural pectin), corn starch. Contains dairy and wheat. Comes in a 2.7 ounce tart.

Strawberry

Sweet strawberry is heightened with the rich acidity of balsamic vinegar. Yum.

INGREDIENTS: Unbleached enriched wheat flour (niacin, reduced iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), butter, sugar, salt, lemon juice, strawberry puree, strawberry balsamic jam (strawberries, balsamic vinegar, sugar, lemon juice, all-natural pectin), corn starch. Blueberry

Maple syrup drizzled on blueberry pancakes, baked into a pie, sized down into a tart.  

INGREDIENTS: Unbleached enriched wheat flour (niacin, reduced iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), butter, sugar, salt, lemon juice, blueberry puree, blueberry preserves (wild blueberries, maple syrup, sugar, lemon juice, all-natural pectin), corn starch. Contains dairy and wheat. Comes in a 2.7 ounce tart.

Chocolate

Chocolate for breakfast! Happily wrapped in a buttery, flaky crust, of course. Hot cup of coffee not included.

INGREDIENTS: Unbleached enriched wheat flour (niacin, reduced iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), butter, sugar, salt, semi-sweet chocolate (cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter, emulsifier, soy lecithin, natural vanilla), cream, cocoa powder, canola oil, natural vanilla extract. Contains dairy, soy, and wheat. Comes in a 2.7 ounce tart.

Cinnamon Brown Sugar

Cinnamon toast, but with flaky pastry instead of bread. Is there anything better? 

INGREDIENTS: Unbleached enriched wheat flour (niacin, reduced iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), butter, sugar, salt, milk, brown sugar, cinnamon. Contains dairy and wheat. Comes in a 2.7 ounce tart.
