Bacon Rosemary Shortbread

Klara Sotonova emigrated from the Czech Republic at 19, dreaming of opening a bakery, using the recipes and traditions passed down by her grandmother. Ah, America, where dreams come true. Indeed, in 2006, Klara's Gourmet Cookies was born. We're particularly enamored with her savory shortbread, conceived by Klara and her chef-husband during a cold New England winter.  

Klara credits this combination to the Czech passion for pork. Smoky bacon, fresh rosemary, a hint of smoke and a dash of cayenne pepper make for a brilliantly balanced cookie that is sweet, smoky and savory all at the same time. 

Flour (unbleached hard wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamin, riboflavin, folic acid), butter, powdered sugar, hickory smoked bacon, fresh rosemary, liquid smoke salt and cayenne pepper. Comes in an 8 oz bag.
