Crunchy. Sweet. Fennel-y. Shamus has won awards for these tasty, naturally sweet, medallion-shaped sliced beets brined in piquant fennel and tarragon. We love beets and we love the flavor of fennel, so these are a favorite.
Eat them with a toothpick. Put on a little dab of sour cream and serve on a white plate. When you've eaten the last beet (and believe us, it won't take long to scarf these down) use the dark pink brine as a cooking acid to add zest and sweetness to sauteed greens.
Organic beets, red wine vinegar, water, sea salt, organic and fairly traded cane sugar, organic garlic, natural spices (tarragon, mustard seeds, coriander, fennel seeds, black peppercorns, chile flakes). Comes in a 16 ounce jar.
