Truly one of a kind, Portland, OR chocolatier Elizabeth Montes calls her KA-POW bar a “single-origin coffee bar.” Texturally similar to a stone-ground chocolate bar, the confection is made from finely ground, responsibly-sourced coffee, which is then pressed into a chocolate mold. With the addition of high quality cocoa butter, the bar comes out silky smooth and shiny on the outside, crunchable sugar crystals throughout. A fantastically unique treat, best understood by tasting.

One bar contains 96 grams amount of caffeine (about as much as a shot of espresso), so this is better as an afternoon-pick-me up than a last-nibble-before-bed. We keep them stashed at our desks for quick and easy access. Chemex has nothing on these powerful little bars – coffee has never tasted so good.ingredients
